Fishing

Ellerton Park has an excellent reputation for fishing and is fast becoming one of the best Carp waters in the area, with specimen fish being caught in excess of 30lb. The lake is also well stocked with Bream, Roach, Perch and Pike.

Diving

The lake is very popular with divers and is ideal for training purposes with a maximum depth of 10 meters. There are certain objects placed within the lake for the more experienced divers to investigate and a platform for easy access in and out of the water. Visibility is generally very good as the lake is fed by natural springs.

Water Sports

For a great day out, come and spend a day on the water with your own sailing boat, canoe or windsurfer. The easy access into the lake from our large car park makes it ideal for all non motorised watersports. We also welcome schools and clubs.

The 60 acres of fresh water allows for plenty of scope for the more skilled operators whilst youngsters and beginners can try the smaller, quieter bays situated around the lake.

Scouts

The Scouts have their North Yorkshire water activities centre at Ellerton Park and can be seen here most weekends, using the water or camping adjacent to the Scout compound.
